Ingredients

  1. Mussels in the sink 1 kg
  2. Spaghetti 350-400 gr
  3. Tomatoes 801 gr
  4. Dry white wine 1/2 cup
  5. Onion 2 small onions
  6. Garlic 3 large cloves
  7. Thyme 1 beam.
  8. Parsley 1 beam.
  9. Olive oil to taste
  10. Salt to taste
  11. Sugar to taste

Cooking:


Pour wine into a stewpan, add crushed clove of garlic and chopped onion. Boil. Add mussels. As the mussels open, remove them from the stewpan. Half of the mussels should be left in the sink, half of the shells should be cleaned. Strain the remaining mussels after cooking.
Skin the tomatoes and remove the seeds. Pure half the tomatoes in a blender at low speed. Coarsely chop the second half. Heat the olive oil in a saucepan. Add flakes of chili pepper and chopped two large cloves of garlic. Lightly fry.
Add tomato puree, chopped tomatoes, 2-3 tsp to the stewpan. thyme leaves, a pinch of salt, a pinch of sugar. Stew for 10 minutes. Add 1/2 cup of broth in which the mussels were cooked and simmer another 3 minutes. Add the mussels to the resulting sauce. Stew a minute. Then turn off the heat and cover. Boil the spaghetti in salted water for 1 minute less than indicated on the package. Add boiled pasta to the sauce with mussels, mix. Add chopped parsley, mix.
